iKnitCounter 2.0

Its now live on the Apple App Store!

Now with integration to Ravelry.

NOTE:  If you are seeing the app shut down when you click the Add + Ravelry, that is because you need to have at least one project in your Ravelry projects list that is in progress (which I believe requires a start date – month only suffices).  I will code a fix for this. In the meantime, add a project, set a start date and you should be able to add away.

If you have any active projects, you can select it..

Notes can now be synced with Ravelry as well:

Neat! Are there any plans to integrate the Android version with Ravelry?

Also, is there any chance in the future of being able to sync projects with other installations of the Android app? I use it on my phone now and love it, but I’m planning on getting an Android tablet and would like to use it on that too…

I LOVE your counter for my iPad, but it is not linking to my ravelry project. Any ideas how to fix it?

I read about a syncing feature … How do I engage this in iknitcounter? I can’t find where to turn this one.

How can I delete 1 counter from several that I’m using for a project? I no longer need one of them and would like,to,remove it,

Lastly, can I reorder counters inside a project? I’d like to be able to slide one up so it is closer to,another one.

Thanks in advance …. As I,said I LOVE this app.

Glad you like the app. Not sure what the problem with the Rav linkage is. Do you have any in progress projects at Ravelry? I know of an issue where the app will crash trying to connect if there are no active projects. Sadly, this wasn’t a problem that I turned up when testing as I have a trillion active projects at any given time. I’ve been buried by my day job so I haven’t had a chance to really address this yet.

Not sure what you mean by syncing. The android version of my counter app has the ability to backup the database to the sd card, but there is no online syncing. What you can sync is the notes on a Ravelry project. So once you’ve added a project to iKnitCounter from Ravelry, the notes you add on the iOS device and directly on that project in Ravelry are synced up.

To delete a counter from a project with more than one, from the project screen, click the blue arrow to the right of the counter you want to get rid of. That will take you to the counter settings page. At the bottom there is a delete counter button.

Sorry, there is no current way to reorder counters on a project. I’ll add that as a possible future feature :) Though, as a single mom of twins with a full time job, I can’t make any promises as to when it might be released.

How do we get SUPPORT?? I’ve asked questions and still need responses. Thanks! I love the product but am about to post a less than lovable review due to the lack of support.

      Debbie,

I’ve tried to answer you twice now. The first was after your initial comment on 12/10 and I just tried to reply to this comment via email and got a failure reply from your email server. You might want to check with your provider:
